About the Score

As far as we know, this is the first live action Green Arrow of any type. Given that, there wasn't a theme score that we could borrow, from say a feature film. This presented us with a challenge, as well as an opportunity to create the first Green Arrow theme score. To do this, we called on Scott Lasky to write and compose all original music.

Many of today's comic book, film trailers use modern rock music to sell their films. We wanted to stay away from that. Somehow rock music doesn't do the comic book film, justice. The most memorable, comic book scores are original orchestral scores (ie. Superman, Batman). We wanted something that could be heard and identified years later as the Green Arrow theme song (Our version anyway). Did we succeed? Time will tell. We can say we are very pleased with what Composer Scott Lasky and musician/engineer Martin St. Pierre created.

Scott Lasky is a composer of concert and film music, and a  native of  Los Angeles, where he has been active as a professional musician, composer, and arranger for over 20 years.  A graduate of  the Grove School of music in Los Angeles, his works  have been performed by orchestras and soloists both locally as well as internationally.  Among his current projects, he is composing a large scale opera.
